The 'Show License' button pops up the license dialog box
This box displays the drive that the project is stored in. To show the product id information, the user clicks on the System / Product info button. All the information is requried by the vendor to generate a license file. The license dialog box also displays the the Status (Registered or Unregistered).
The user may use the 'Copy to Clipboard' button and manually paste the information in an e-mail to sales_info@cargocal.com However, the vendor prefers to receive the text file generated by the software on clicking the 'Syst Prod Info' icon that will be found in the WRH folder.
When the Product ID information is received and verified, the project author will send a license file. This license file is encrypted with the above data and cannot be opened by any application. This license file has to be saved in a folder WRH in the same drive as indicated in the dialog box.
The Terms & Conditions buttons shows the Terms and Conditions in as new dialog box as follows -
Clicking on 'Don't Accept' will close the application without further interaction by the user.
When this button is clicked, the pages 1, 2 and 2a are printed. The printer will pause after printing the first page to allow the user to flip the paper over. If the user has entered comments (remarks), and there are no violations, the printing will be paused for the user to select whether or not to print page 2a. If, however, there are violations, page 2a is printed automatically.
On the ships, signatures (scanned images) are not printed. Prints of the signatures are seen only in the reports printed in the Office. This is because, it is expected that prints of reports generated on the ships have original signatures in ink. If the user selects to print to a PDF file, scanned signature images of the HOD (if available) is inserted into the report.
With Office 2007 or later, PDF Reports are automatically stored in the PDF Reports sub-folder. With Office 2003, (if the user has access to a PDF Printer and it is set as default printer), the user has to assign the file name and file path.
The user may print more than one crew's reports at the same time by selecting multiple rows in the GET CREW/DB dialog box and clicking on the icon at the top right.
When this button is clicked (or the dedicated button on the 'Hours' page),
Maximum of 16 records
The heads of departments can compare on a chart the hours and violations for different crew members. Data is sent to the Chart Table by clicking on the ‘Add To Chart’ button in the ‘Hours’ page. If a duplicate is detected, the program prompts the user to input permission to overwrite. The facility is provided for up to 16 crew members. To delete any row, the user selects the contents from Name to Warnings for concerned row and right-clicks and then selects ‘Clear Contents’. The chart is displayed on the ‘Chart’ page.
Similarly, at the office, the evaluator/superintendent may send to the chart tables, for ready comparison, the records for officers of the same rank from different vessels, say for the Chief Officers of sister vessels.
Alternatively to this one-crew-at-a-time procedure, the user may populate the chart table in one stroke with selected items in the Get Crew / DB Dialog box by selecting the needed records and then clicking on the Add to Chart button.
The ‘Clear Data’ button clears the pages of all data except the data at the top of the ‘Hours’ page.
