Hours - Remarks

Column 'W' is used for entering any remarks to explain the work hours for each day.

This field is mandatory if a violation is detected. Entering a coment is useful to justify hours that trigger a violation.  The heads of department are reminded that the current laws allow for compensatory rest whenever a crew's required rest period is unavoidably disturbed.

The user may enter remarks from a set of pre-defined comments by check marking the boxes in the screen as in the sample image below.

This screen is displayed when the 'Seafarer's Comments' label is clicked or Comments text box is double-clicked.

If the user enters data in the 'Place' text box, the entry is recorded in the comments text box with square brackets on either side of the place.

Example:

If the Place text box has 'Corpus Christi', the comments text box will be populated with '[Corpus Christi]'
